PROGRAMS AVAILABLE

As exciting as becoming pregnant might be, there is no getting around the fact you are about to gain ‘baby weight.” Your body has new aches and pains as it begins changing beyond your control.

When we become pregnant, the need to step up our game is real because there is a mental aspect to this journey. I know you want answers…how do I do this…how do I do that…as my dress sizes grows. All this is normal. Don’t worry…I’ve been there, twice. I get it.

With Stay Fit Prenatal, we are here to help quiet the negative voice of body change and empower you with pregnancy fitness and nutrition that not only serves the body, but the mind as well. The key to StayFit Prenatal™ is to begin a practice of taking care of ourselves, in body, mind and spirt.

Fertility

Preparing the body for pregnancy is one of the most important acts of wellness a woman can offer herself. Pregnancy puts stress on the body physically and demands additional amounts of specific nutrients for fetal development.  Enhancing fertility begins with a enhancing woman’s health. Establishing a baseline of physical fitness is important for a healthy pregnancy, deliver, and recovery.

Pregnancy

Strength, stamina, and stability of the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal system is of utmost importance for the mother and child. Pregnancy hormones change the physiology of the body while the physical structure of the body alters to create space for the developing fetus. Maintaining physical fitness during pregnancy will help prevent gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, macrosomia, pre-term birth, back pain, joint pain, sciatica, all while benefiting labor, delivery, and recovery.

Motherhood

Physical and physiological care of the mother after pregnancy is a priority often neglected. An exhausted mother clocking late nights needs adequate time to care  and restore herself mentally and physically.  Pregnancy is depleting on the body’s nutrient stores leaving the mother subject to osteoporosis, depression, and anemias. The physical body is in need of re-strengthening after joint laxity and structural damage. Physical care of the new child is strenuous on the mother’s body and health.  Strengthening and nourishing the body after pregnancy is important to regain physical fitness and inner health.
